Chiang Mai, Thailand
CO Chiang Mai was launched in 2013 and partners with Sprout Church to reach students at Mae Jo and Chiang Mai Universities. COCM exists to build laborers in the center of Southeast Asia, where less than 1% of the population are Christians. The team prays that God will continue to build an Indigenous laborer-producing movement that leads to many new campus ministries and church plants around the country and region.

Our Team

Dan and Kimi Lewis
Dan came to Christ through the Campus Outreach ministry at the University of Queensland in Brisbane Australia where Dan & Kimi also met. After 3 years working with CO in Australia we moved to Chiang Mai, Thailand in 2013 to help start a new ministry at Chiang Mai University. We love Thai people, Thai culture, Thai food and we love introducing Thai students to Jesus. What a privilege it is to be God’s ambassadors in such a wonderful yet such a lost city.

Snow (Sano Buasorn)
I professed faith in Jesus Christ during my first year at the university in 2002. As I grew in my knowledge and faith in God, I began to love Him more and desired for others to know Him. In 2008 after working as a Scientist for 3 years I joined CO Khonkaen team because I want to build laborers who can share the power of the gospel with others.

Bam (Wilasini Burat)
My name’s Bam, and I graduated from Khon Kaen University with a degree in English. When I was a second-year student, I didn’t want to live anymore because I felt extremely bored with the world. At the Christmas time that year, I got to join a Christmas event with CO Khon Kaen. God showed His love for me through a role-play at the church called “Forgiving Father”. Afterward, God gently opened my heart to desire to know Him more. After that, I began to follow Him and continued to be involved with Campus Outreach as a disciple. Currently, God is leading me to be an intern with Campus Outreach. I desire to be His laborer and make disciples by bringing the Gospel to the lost.

Brian and Terri Firpo
Brian and Terri joined the CO Chiang Mai team in the summer of 2016. They are leading a two year LEAD team at Mae Jo University and are helping to coach the Chiang Mai long term staff as well. Brian has his personal ministry at both MJU and CMU and Terri is helping to disciple Thai believers at MJU through the LEAD staff.

Stephen Hellier
Stephen grew up just outside of Atlanta, Georgia with three highly competitive brothers and loving parents. Growing up and assuming he had his life planned out as an engineer, God graciously reminded him who was actually in control and lovingly, but undisputedly, turned his heart toward compassion for those who had not grown up with the blessings for which he is so thankful. The Holy Spirit changes hearts, and God uses people to bring the knowledge of Christ to all the nations, and Stephen’s heart has developed a strong desire to be a part of that international mission.

Jennifer Jacob
Jennifer grew up in a Christian home but finally understood the true gospel and love of Christ during her freshman year of high school. After studying elementary education at the University of Central Florida and serving on short-term mission trips to Ecuador and Cuba, she felt the burden of spreading the true gospel overseas through teaching. God led her to teach in Khon Kaen, Thailand for 5 years, and throughout that time she grew in her dependence on God and community, gained a greater understanding of life-on-life discipleship, and experienced the true fulfillment that comes through discipleship and teaching about faith. She prayerfully decided to pursue dedicating all her time and energy to investing in college students’ lives to make Christ’s love known and to build up Christ’s followers in Thailand for His glory.

Ann (Thiwapawn Kamsawong)
Greetings, I’m Ann. I was raised in a non-Christian family. I was invited to spend Christmas with my Christian friend’s community. I could tell these people were unique. They are welcoming, friendly, loving, and kind. The CO staff I met while attending the university asked me to go to the evangelistic camp. When I heard the testimony, I had doubts about whether Jesus could actually transform my life. I’ve only recently become a Christian, but now that I am, I have serenity, faith, and an abundance of love. I became an intern because I wanted to share with the lost this genuine love and all that I have learned from God.

Maddie Lebeter
Maddie Lebeter met the Lord as a student at Southeast Missouri State University through the ministry of Campus Outreach. Upon graduating, she participated in the LEAD program, serving two years in Chiang Mai, Thailand. While there, she saw how desperately the Gospel was needed in Thailand, a country of less than 2% professing faith in Christ and determined to transition from LEAD staff to a long-term staff position. She now serves as the LEAD Coordinator, assisting the team by shepherding the 2-year staff, helping them transition to Thailand and see the need for Christ in greater ways, as she did while in their same position not that long ago.

Tyler Mobley
I am Tyler Mobley, from Paragould, Arkansas. I graduated from Arkansas State University with a degree in Business Administration. In college, I developed a desire to share Christ. After graduation, I decided to go to Chiang Mai, Thailand to raise up laborers who will worship Christ and who will go on to be husbands and fathers who love their families like Christ loves the church.

Siin (Apisith Pichitphorn)
My name is Aom-Siin. I grew up in a Buddhist family. However, getting to know Campus Outreach (CO) brought a significant change in my life. CO introduced me to God in 2019. I was nurtured through CO when I was a student at Khon Kaen University. I grew up in the love of Christ, received from both CO and the Christian community. It’s saddening that there are still many people who haven’t experienced love like this as I have. I want to see God’s mission expand, and the world filled with the Good News. I believe that God will help me grow more and see His greatness. Therefore, I feel God calls me to do this through being a CO staff intern.

Ping Pong (Wantana Pikulsri)
I accepted Jesus Christ into my life in 2015 when I participated in a Campus Outreach camp called Thai Summer Project. God has given me a desire to serve Him and my brothers and sisters in Christ. I came into full time service because I want to make God known to others. I feel the Thai people have not known the truth about God at all. Many Thais who have not yet heard the gospel. I see that the laborers are few even when the fields are ripe for harvest. I want God to use me to reach the Thais through reaching university students.

Boy (Therapong Punwilai)
I’m Boy! I studied Industrial Engineering at Khon Kaen University. I have worked for around 2 years in the Engineering Department and used my free time to spend with students and new Christians in hopes of them knowing God more. I discovered CO in 2015 and at Summer Camp that year, I believed in Jesus Christ. I have watched CO work with students for about 5-6 years. It’s an amazing mission that has changed many lives, including my life forever. I have gotten to know the true love in the Gospel form – Jesus Christ. I want to share and build student to share that love with others.

Tdang (Nattanich Tabtim)
My name is Tdang! I graduated from Khon Kaen University in May 2018 with a degree in Chemistry. I believe in God and received Jesus Christ into my life in 2015 through Campus Outreach. Since then, I’ve been growing in a relationship with God and in knowing more about Jesus. The more I see how God loves me, the more I want to live my life for others, for them to see how great is our God. After graduating, I got a job in the Chemistry Department at Khon Kaen University and have been working there for 8 months. I decided to intern with Campus Outreach because I want to grow more in my faith and let Him use my life to share the Gospel with those who are lost so they may be restored to Him.

Kana (Niranat Singhapal)
My name is Kana and I came to know the Lord as a freshman through Thai Campus Outreach staff at North Eastern University in Khon Kaen. I now work with CO Chiang Mai and have been on staff for 4 years. It’s a privilege to do ministry here with the team and share about God with students. My vision is for sharing my faith and making Him known throughout Thailand. I would love to see more Thai laborers who have a heart for wanting to serve the Lord in Thailand!

Pbaan (Kanyapak Yapapha)
Growing up in a Buddhist family I came to Christ in 2009 through Campus Outreach at Khon Kaen University after hearing verses such as Isaiah 1:18 and Psalm 103:12. I want to see Thai college students believe in and love God. I want to have the opportunity to share my life, what I have learned about God, and what I am learning with others. And I want to have the opportunity to make disciples and help raise up leaders. I also want to use my gift and abilities in the areas of administration and translation to serve the Campus Outreach team in Chiang Mai.
