Gabe Butler

Gabe grew up in church, but he did not live with Jesus as the Lord in his heart or over his life until high school, when he began questioning his purpose. In his junior year, he began to truly pursue Christ and build an authentic relationship. In college, he found a loving community in Campus Outreach and experienced God’s love, mercy, patience, and forgiveness while witnessing his best friend come to Christ during that time. Gabe is ecstatic for God to use him in Lima, Peru, to show the same care and love he received through community.

Matthew Bartlett

Matthew is from Charleston, South Carolina, and graduated from Clemson University in 2022. He came to know the Lord his sophomore year of high school through some mentors who were a part of Campus Outreach in college. This was his first exposure to the ministry, and in seeing their faith desired to be a part of it at Clemson as well. At Clemson, he had the opportunity to serve the Lord through Campus Outreach and other ministries. During this time, Matthew fell in love with the idea of serving the nations and sharing the Gospel with people from other cultures. He is very excited to be serving for two years in Lima, Peru.

Nathan & Kate Demetri

Nathan and Kate both grew up in Christian households and were involved in the church from a young age. While they both believed in Jesus, their personal relationships with Him didn’t deepen until around the time they arrived at the University of South Carolina. It was there, through the ministry of Campus Outreach, that they learned what it truly meant to find their identity in Christ and to live out the reality of dying to sin. The mentorship and community they found in Campus Outreach played a pivotal role in their spiritual growth, transforming their walks with Christ. Plus, without CO they never would’ve met! Today, Nathan and Kate are happily married and feel a deep sense of calling to take the life-changing message of the gospel and the mentorship that shaped them to young adults in South America, where they believe many are desperately in need of both.

Logan’s first introduction to CO came through Charleston’s region. He was invited to a summer Leadership Project by high school friends attending school at College of Charleston. After he returned to Clemson his sophomore year, Greenville Campus Outreach launched to Clemson University, and Logan was eagerly one of the first students involved. He is now working at his Alma Mater with his wife Jessica, whom he met on his first summer project, and thoroughly enjoys working with the Spikeball Club and meeting International Students.

Lainey Merriwether

Lainey grew up in a Christian home and came to know the Lord personally in middle school. However, it wasn’t until she went to Clemson University in 2018 that she learned what it looked like to truly follow Jesus. Lainey attended a summer project in 2019, where she learned to share the gospel and grew a heart for watching the Lord pursue the people around her. After that summer, she continued to be heavily involved in Campus Outreach until her graduation in 2022. Now she is excited to continue living out the Great Commission and watching God work in the lives of the people in Lima, Peru!

Sophie Morris

Sophie grew up in a Christian household, consistently hearing the name of Jesus, but her freshman year at Berry College, God used Campus Outreach staff to help her see that Christ was not really the center of her life. She finally gave her life over to God in total surrender that year. After her sophomore year, she was asked to go on a Cross Cultural Project to Johannesburg, South Africa, and got to experience the vastness of God’s heart for the world and His ultimate mission to draw all people to Himself. Since then, Sophie has had a burdened heart for the lost and a longing to share her faith with those around her. Sophie is thrilled to be joining the CO team in Lima, Peru, and to continue to live this out in her daily life.

Tiffany Mullis

Tiffany was born to Campus Outreach missionary parents in Bangkok, Thailand. She was raised in Atlanta, GA and came to Christ in the sixth grade. Growing up, Tiffany could see how her parents’ love for Christ shaped the way they loved one another and served those around them. After studying Romans 12 at school, she desired for God to transform her heart and wanted to have a relationship with Him. A few years later, Tiffany graduated with a degree in Recreational Therapy from Clemson University. During college, Tiffany went to several CO New Year’s Conferences. There, she saw the impact on the world of being faithful to share the Gospel and study God’s Word with others, and He gave her a passion for being part of what He was doing to reach people across the globe. Tiffany has served as campus staff in Johannesburg, South Africa, and is now excited to serve on the campus and see God work in the lives of people in Lima, Peru!

I grew up occasionally going to church but didn’t understand what a personal relationship with the Lord looked like. In high school I was invited to church and saw people who had a vibrant relationship with the Lord and realized I wanted that too. I gave my life to Christ shortly after. I went to Clemson University where I met a staff woman named Malory Sanders and got involved in a small group. It was during my time in college that I learned what it looked like to walk with the Lord on a daily basis and leverage my life for the sake of the Gospel.
