Bronwyn: Discipleship Beyond Graduation

The heart of Campus Outreach has always been to build laborers on the college campus who will go into the world and make an impact for Christ. Bronwyn’s story is a snapshot of that vision.

“I had two very faithful, disciple-making parents,” Bronwyn recalls. They introduced her to Jesus as a child and faithfully took her to a church with a vibrant youth group. There were also plenty of college students who set an example of growing faith. But stepping onto the campus at Georgia College was a watershed moment.

During the first week, her dorm landline rang with an invitation from a senior girl hosting a Bible study. That invitation introduced her to the ministry of Campus Outreach and led to multiple opportunities for training and growth. At the center of it all was 2 Timothy 2:2. “I had experienced discipleship before,” she remembers, “but Campus Outreach gave me a vision for discipleship as a way of life. What God entrusted to me, He called me to entrust to others.”

That vision took root and never left. Over the years, Bronwyn has discipled women in every season of life. Her children were a major part of that! Bronwyn also led women’s Bible studies, poured into young moms, and faithfully prayed for God to “send someone new.”  However, in conversation it becomes clear that the most striking fruit has been the community that grew out of the women who began meeting during her college years.

In 1993, these ten women connected through Campus Outreach decided to stay in each other’s lives. “We never imagined we’d still be doing this 30 years later,” Bronwyn shares. She adds, “I can’t imagine my life without those people.”

Their gatherings are simple and intentional. Each woman shares about her year, honestly and openly. They pray for one another. They tell the same old stories and laugh until they can’t breathe. Prayer, accountability, and love have allowed them to support each other through marriages, parenting, career transitions, health struggles, and loss. Together, they embody the Campus Outreach vision: laborers continuing to multiply and encourage one another far beyond their college years.

This January, Bronwyn hopes to see many of these women at the Alumni Connect conference in Chattanooga, Tennessee. It occurs during the Campus Outreach 2026 National Conference, where her daughter will work as staff! “I know we won’t see her much, but just to be able to experience it near her will be great,” Bronwyn shared. “Really, if we can sit in the back of a room and worship, hear the gospel truth spoken, and see firsthand all God has done, we will be so happy and encouraged. It will be a blessing just to be near it!”

You can still make plans to attend this free alumni gathering!  It’s a chance to re-unite with old friends, re-live unforgettable moments, and re-engage with the ministry that’s shaped many lives. What group from college can you invite to meet you there January 2-4, 2026?
