There’s a certain kind of faithfulness that doesn’t make headlines. It doesn’t require an official title — just a man, a calling, and the willingness to keep showing up.
Andrew Knight is that kind of man.
Andrew’s story isn’t a straight line—it’s a winding path God designed. He studied at Furman University in South Carolina, then joined Campus Outreach’s staff. He and his wife joined an expansion team heading to Minnesota. From there, they relocated to Sheffield, England, for a season of investigative ministry. When that season closed, they faithfully returned to Minneapolis.
The Move to Idaho
Andrew’s family moved with a church-planting team to help plant a Campus Outreach ministry at Boise State. Soon after, due to the pandemic and changes in circumstances, Andrew found himself without a Campus Outreach hub church. The call had not changed, and Andrew started living the values of ministry he had been practicing for years: evangelize, establish, equip, export.
Six years of consistent, growing ministry tell the story of the Lord’s continual work. The ministry meets once a week on Tuesday nights, gathering students from Boise State’s Greek system into something that is quietly, powerfully changing lives.
The Conversions at Boise State

Aidan, a sophomore who lived in one of the frat houses, spent a year in Bible study and came to faith the following summer. His one goal: live for Jesus and share his faith. So he shared with Connor. Connor came to Christ. Connor shared with Alec, the chapter president of Sigma Chi, and Alec’s friend Derek. Both were baptized this March as a profession of their newfound faith.
Then there’s Matt. One Tuesday night at the Knights’ house, whispers rippled through the Sigma Chi men: the least likely guy had walked through the door. Matt introduced himself to Andrew, “I hear you like to get lunch and talk.”
Andrew laughed, said he did, and asked what he wanted to talk about. Matt’s answer was one word: Everything. Not long after this, he came to faith and was baptized in March alongside Alec and Derek.
The Training of Leaders

For establishing and equipping purposes, the Boise ministry participates in the two-week Summer Cruise Project. The first week is spent in California, partnering with Campus Outreach San Diego. There are family meals, training talks, and Bible study, and they regularly share the gospel. The final five days are spent on a cruise ship — same training, same community meals, and at every port, students get off and share their faith. It’s discipleship designed to build hunger for God, a heart for the lost, and a vision to multiply.
Andrew Knight isn’t leading an official Campus Outreach expansion team, but he is using every principle the ministry trained him in and trusting those principles in the context to which God has called him. As he is faithful, he prays that in God’s time this work might become part of the official ministry family.
But it’s not about the name “Campus Outreach”. It is about building the Kingdom and a shared vision to see laborers built on the campus for the lost world. And so, Andrew keeps showing up with a simple message: this is what God has done in me, and He can do it in you, too. He keeps going to campus. He keeps getting lunch with guys who want to talk. And the Lord keeps drawing students to Himself.
