Coming out of the COVID years and seeing how isolation had impacted college campuses worldwide, CO SERVE leadership contemplated how to best encourage and expose new and existing staff to the ministry’s original vision and values. Leadership determined that a podcast would be the best means of communication, and the CO StaffCast was born.
What You’re Missing
Season one began in January of 2023. It featured guests from the ministry’s early years and focused on the founding vision and values. In season two, guests shared what God has been doing more recently. Season Three launched in August 2024. Host Jon Elam joined Kent Bailey and Sandy Willson. This season will focus on what God is doing now and what we look forward to in the next few years.
Future guests will include regional directors and hub-church pastors. Organizations in contact with Campus Outreach who want to be part of it through influence and encouragement will also join. Creators of new content relevant to modern campus ministry are also on the upcoming guest list.
The CO StaffCast is a unique tool for encouraging and equipping staff. The conceptualization, interviews, and production are led by staff with experience. They have walked in the shoes of staff worldwide and can relate to their specific challenges and opportunities. As the saying goes, this is a podcast by CO staff for CO staff.
