CO SERVE is helping build “Gospel Wells” today!
In John 4, Jesus promised that rivers of living water would flow from those who placed their faith and hope in Him. In every Campus Outreach location, we aim to establish “leadership pipelines,” where those desperate for the gospel discover Christ, train to serve, and then step into church leadership roles. The results are “gospel wells” of hope and transformation for individuals, churches, and communities.
Our long-established ministry in Khon Kaen, Thailand, exemplifies a mature well. Years of investment have created a thriving, sustainable flow of life-giving water for the community. While a freshman at Khon Kaen University, Ping Pong met a staff member in the cafeteria. After spending time with students and hearing testimonies of how God’s love changed their lives, she embraced the gospel and accepted Jesus as her Savior. She grew as a disciple, joined the staff in Khon Kaen, and will move this year to labor with the team in Chiang Mai. She is one of many transformed through the “gospel well” in her city.
Campus Outreach is breaking ground on new wells
We are breaking ground on new wells in other locations, such as Edinburgh, Scotland and Lima, Peru. Though the work is just beginning, these places have great potential for gospel wells. Seventy students attended a Friendsgiving dinner in Edinburgh, and another 40 attended in Peru! As people build relationships and share the Truth, think of the lasting impact of those flowing gospel wells!
Lastly, some regions desperately need a well but lack the resources to build one. Accra, Ghana is one such place where pastors have been requesting a Campus Outreach team for years. Three years of Cross-Cultural Projects (CCP) have readied the ground, and we hope to send a team and build a “gospel well” soon.
Each stage of ministry requires unique investment and contributes to the larger goal of bringing lasting, transformative change. The best way to change the world tomorrow is to start digging “wells” today that will supply future leaders.
