The Gospel Coalition’s Women’s Initiatives hosted a conference last week in Indianapolis. Nearly 9,000 women attended and were exposed to great teaching, powerful worship, and an incredible bookstore. 83 exhibitors representing various organizations focused on expanding the Kingdom of God were also in attendance. Campus Outreach SERVE was one of those exhibitors and the only campus ministry.
CO SERVE hosted a dinner during the conference, filling a room with staff women (present and former) and friends of the ministry. Three retired women were present, unfamiliar with the ministry but investigating how to invest their lives in this new phase. Tears filled their eyes as the CO SERVE Women’s Leader Development Team shared about the development of women’s ministry throughout CO history. They shared the various training opportunities available. There were stories of international staff women who grew up in Christ through the help of Campus Outreach. “Maybe college-age women are where we should invest,” our guests shared.
