Adam, with Campus Outreach in the UK, first met Roy at the Aston University gym and bonded over their love of Indian food. Adam shared how much he missed “real” Indian food, and Roy kindly promised to cook for them. During their subsequent gym encounter, Roy mentioned his next destination was to help a friend who was having some trouble. Adam committed to praying for his friend. Roy responded, “I’m an atheist, so I don’t believe in that.” Adam responded, “Answered prayer is often how God reveals Himself to us.”
The guys continued meeting at the gym and building a friendship. Adam persisted in prayer and invited Roy and his roommate to the ministry’s Thanksgiving dinner. When they showed up, Roy shared how he had always wanted to go to an actual American Thanksgiving! They had a blast, and it was a turning point in their relationship. Roy began hanging out with Adam and other Campus Outreach staff outside the gym, joined them at church, and consistently heard the gospel.
One day, Adam sat across from Roy and marveled as he heard that learning about Jesus, watching Christians, and seeing answered prayers had brought Roy to the point of wanting to convert to Christianity. He asked Adam if he knew how to do that, and Adam walked him through the gospel. Roy professed faith in Jesus!

Roy continues taking steps to follow Jesus and live in obedience to him. He has been very open about becoming a Christian, even sharing with his Hindu parents in India. He publicly professed his faith in Christ through baptism in early March. Please pray for Roy to make Christ-centered decisions as he seeks postgraduate work and begins postgraduate life.
