Issac Ure

I’m a kiwi from the very south of New Zealand, who grew up in a missionary family. As we lived overseas for most of my childhood, I was surrounded by a missionary community that gave me great examples of what it meant to live in a God-honouring way. Although I believed in God from before I could remember, in this context, I never had my faith challenged, and I simply followed the example of those around me. When we came back to New Zealand in my high school years, I finally had to wrestle with my faith, and by God’s grace He led me to choose Him for myself. At the University of Canterbury, I was immediately connected with the local CO group. Over my 4 years at Uni, I’ve been amazed to see how much God has worked in my own life, and in the lives of others through CO. My faith has grown from head-knowledge to what is now a love for God and a joy to live daily for Him. Coming on staff, I am eager to see other students brought into this same joy through the saving work of Christ.
