Kendall Rintamaki

My name is Kendall Rintamaki, and I serve as Campus Staff with Campus Outreach Manila. I moved to the Philippines because of Matthew 9:36-38, where Jesus explains that while many are waiting to hear the Gospel, there are few willing to share it. This reality weighs heavily on my heart. Throughout the city of Manila, Jesus is everywhere—from cross stickers on cars to tiles of the Virgin Mary on front doors. Yet, despite this cultural presence, very few people understand why we need Jesus as our Savior or what grace truly is. A verse we often share with students is Ephesians 2:8-9: 'For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is a gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.' It has been a joy for our team to share with hundreds of students that grace is not something we earn, but a gift undeservedly given. God has been so kind to let me witness friends accept that gift. As my initial term ends, I am grateful to be moving back. Matthew 9:36-38 remains true, and I desire for more students at the University of the Philippines to understand God’s grace, walk in a relationship with Him, and share that hope with others—prayerfully across all of Asia.
