Tom Skyring

Born in New Zealand and moving overseas at age 11, I grew up in a non-Christian, non-religious household in Dubai. When I moved back to New Zealand, I was allowed to explore faith. Whilst on my search for truth, I was blessed to have met the Engage pancake team at the Otago Polytechnic Student Village. They really helped me see and understand the unconditional love that God has given us. A verse that really stands out to me is John 15:13 - “Greater love has no one than this: laying down one’s life for one’s friend”. I have made it my life’s goal to now share the good news of Christ with university students who are also searching for answers and lost in their sin like I was, and to share in the love that God has graced us with.
