We SEND Leaders into the Harvest
When Jesus said, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few,” he was stoking the imagination of his audience to consider the impact of a worker entering the harvest. What could happen when someone is available and willing to be sent into the harvest?
Sending is a Struggle
Yet, there are so many obstacles to serving cross-culturally. In today’s uncertain and unstable world, it can be overwhelming to think about being sent into the harvest, even for those willing and eager to serve.
Support is Available
We provide processes and systems that help leaders move from where they are to where God is calling them. It won’t be easy, and it will require faith. But we guide leaders every step of the way so they can move toward the opportunities God has called them.
Different Forms of Sending
We desire to walk with university students, current staff members, and alumni to be sent into whatever ministry and service opportunities God has for them. This could be a short-term trip, a two-year ministry assignment, a strategic opportunity in the marketplace, or simply walking across the street and building a relationship.
Below are some services we use to send leaders into the harvest field.
-
Mobilization
We help current students deploy from life on campus to service in the lost world. For some, this can be through a CO SERVE Program such as LEAD or NEXT. For many, it involves understanding how their faith and work fit together as they deploy to serve Jesus in the real world as employees, spouses, parents, and church members.

Cross-Cultural Projects and Vision Trips
Many adults were first exposed to God’s heart for the nations as university students on a short-term mission trip. The contrast between how one’s home culture and another culture live out faith can be illuminating and inspiring. Campus Outreach SERVE coordinates all the short-term Cross-Cultural Projects across the global Campus Outreach network. Each year, this enables hundreds of students to connect with what God is doing around the world, shaping their vision and values for years to come.
-
Training and Coaching in Financial Partnership Development
Once a young leader commits to moving across the world, they immediately face the often overwhelming obstacle of funding. Campus Outreach SERVE provides world-class training, coaching, and support to help staff members build financial and prayer partnership teams to sustain their ministry work. These partnership teams are critical to sustaining a staff member’s ministry over the long term.

Pre-Field Ministry Training
Moving from home to a new place can be daunting even after a staff member becomes fully funded. Campus Outreach SERVE offers a comprehensive ten-day training experience to prepare staff members to minister in a foreign culture. This training is delivered by those who have spent decades serving cross-culturally.
